The Vision 

Forest River was founded in 1996 by RV industry veteran Peter Liegl. Liegl’s experiences with RVs had led him to the conclusion that the whole experience could be improved. Quality is one thing that Forest River never skimps on. Forest River RV models undergo standard inspections after being built. This is a practice common to all RV manufacturers. However, Forest River takes it one step further by randomly selecting certain units from each line to undergo more rigorous testing at a 20,000-square-foot pre-delivery inspection (PDI) building. The testing includes checking for electrical issues, plumbing problems, LP system concerns, difficulties handling torrential rain, and so on. Not only do these extra tests help hold Forest River RVs to a higher standard of quality, but they provide invaluable data that can be used to improve future Forest River RV models.
